As a father of a current college athlete, I know how frustrated I was several years ago attempting to speak to my son about his college choices.

In discussions with other parents of college bound athletes, I found I was not the only one frustrated. It’s tough to have a 15 or 16 year old sit down and discuss their future plans in a coherent and logical manner with their parents…unless there is a fun tool involved…like a computer.

It was about that time that the idea for a live, interactive database for high school athletes and their parents began to take shape. I contacted web developers Ted and David Reimel, and together we began this journey.

Our tool helps high school athletes who wish to play their respective sports at the collegiate level, taking into account not only athletic achievements, but academic concerns as well. While most colleges offer very little or no athletic scholarship money, most do provide financial aid based on a student’s academic success.

PlayaCollegeSport.com is a program that has taken well over four years to come to market. This length of time was needed to fine tune its workings, and build the database of college information. The result is the BEST tool for finding the RIGHT school for your student athlete!
